Loyal Fallbrook Locals ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Loyal Fallbrook Locals mobile application and website at loyalfallbrooklocals.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to it.
Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.
Profile information: Sellers may optionally provide a business name, address, zip code, and website URL. This information is displayed publicly to buyers.
Flash event data: When you create or RSVP to a flash event, we store the event details, participant list, and associated discount codes.
Reviews: Reviews you submit, including star ratings and text, are stored and displayed publicly alongside your account role.
Location data: The mobile app may request access to your device's location solely to help you find nearby discounts. Location data is used in the moment and is not stored on our servers.
Usage data: We collect standard server logs including IP addresses and request timestamps for security and debugging purposes.
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Send one-time verification codes to your email address when you sign in
• Display flash events, discount offers, and reviews to other users
• Allow sellers to see which flash events include their discounts
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
We send transactional emails only — specifically, one-time verification codes required to sign in. We do not send marketing emails. Email is delivered via Amazon Simple Email Service (AWS SES).
We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
Public information: Seller business profiles, flash events, discount titles (not codes), and reviews are visible to other users of the Service.
Service providers: We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host the application and store data. AWS processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security standards. We use Stability AI to generate images for flash events; prompts sent to Stability AI do not include personal information.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
We retain your account and event data for as long as your account is active. AI-generated flash event images are automatically deleted 30 days after a flash event ends. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and multi-factor authentication via one-time email codes. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. You may also deactivate your account through the app settings.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
• Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information)
